In this video we go over why the need for a mobile ap (niche-not commodity) vs sticking with a responsive or mobile friendly website.
That is the premise that starts the conversation in a Facebook Group, then it morphs into how to take an ongoing conversation (content) and use it to drive your own content and conversation.
What I did was film part of the conversation (curate) and add to it and move it into the bigger lesson.
Here is the orginal post from the Real Estate Tech Group in Facebook
I think people are getting way to happy about aps. The question should be why would I download your ap? It had better have huge value and not just here are mls listings. An ap is intrusive, almost like email. However a website on the desktop or on a pad or phone is “safe” and an entry point into your brand. Part of the reason I believe the world is moving to the mobile is the old Boomer adage, I want what I want and I want it when I want it. Isn’t that the web/net? Making me exclude the 9million other similar mls sites doesn’t feel right. An ap is not for a commodity data. It needs to be mostly niche. My Two Cents;-)
